Personal tidbits

I create web sites as an freelance web developer as my main goal is to make them beautiful, usable, standards compliant and accessible to the widest audience.

This sounds like a cliché and I could not affirm that I can accomplish that goal at 100%, but I am strongly convinced that web site and web browser software developers must strive to build standards compliant products with more accessibility features. The reasons are both moral and practical. I can state that I develop valid XHTML Strict code, the styling is achieved with CSS and I use unobtrusive java-scripts. I do my best to make the structure and the navigation clear and usable and to create cross-browser layouts and functionalities. The sites are tested with the most used browsers. Compliance with the Web Standards is the first step to accessibility and search engine good ranking. I try to follow the W3C accessibility guidelines and I check my sites compliance with WAI Guidelines and Section 508. I also make a basic SEO (Search Engine Optimization).
